Peter Macfarlane designs and builds cedar-strip canoes in Addison, VT. Two designs are currently offered, a general purpose and a dedicated touring hull. Each can be built in a range of sizes, and fitted for tandem or solo paddling. Since every craft is hand-built by the designer, he can adjust the construction to tailor the canoe to the client’s requirements. Whilst both lightweight and beautiful to look at, these canoes are also built to be used; indeed, one has successfully completed a through-paddle of the Northern Forest Canoe Trail. Also offered are hand-carved paddles, and discussion of your own project is welcome.
