16ft
Great Canadian
with Dacron covering
$1000
Condition:
Excellent - Just Restored
16ft 'Great Canadian' canoe, likely made in the 60's or 70's, restored in November 2024. It has white cedar ribs and planking. It was originally covered with canvas but I updated it with Dacron (which, unlike canvas, doesn't rot). I replaced the old seats with ones made of cherry wood and hand-caned the webbing, and replaced the old thwarts with ones made from maple. It has no keel so it'll steer easily. Check out the big bright brass stem bands on the canoe's pointy ends! It weighs all of 57lbs. All the hardware is marine friendly brass or silicon-bronze, it has 6 coats of marine paint plus primer and 4 coats of marine varnish.
